Lesson learned

Living in Mazatlan and now enjoying the single life after all these years, I've come to realize, what I'm good at...for example, gardening from scratch, not so much!
Now my mother on the other hand, was genius at the green thumb stuff, but I seemed to have missed that gene.

Mom..."Don't even think about it Linda!"

                                         Me...

Mom..."Stop looking at the veggies, out there in my garden."

Me...'Come on! Looking isn't a crime.'

Mom..."For anyone else it isn't, but YOU, killed one of my tomato plants last week!"

Me...

Mom..."Well all I can say is.....

I saw you out in my garden last week, talking to that first plant and you even touched it!"

Me...'I was just talking to it!'

Mom..."Well it died! Dead...dead...dead!!!

Me...'Hey, There's no evidence.....'

Mom..."I hate to do it,
but in order to save the rest...

you're grounded from the garden!"

Me...'You can't ground me anymore. I'm an adult!'

Mom...*gives me that look*

Me...'ok ok ok...you win. No talking to the vegetables!'

Just a day in the life of a Canadian, living and loving it in Mazatlan, my home in Paradise.

(and still not talking or touching the plants)
